Asking Jaime to be our doula was one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy. Being first-time parents with no family in town or friends that have had children, we knew that we would need some extra support leading up to the birth and especially during labor. 

Jaime was very down to earth and always readily available to answer questions or talk through decisions before our due date. The two home visits before our due daye were great and made us feel much more acquainted. 

Unfortunately we weren't able to labor at home, but Jaime was there at the hospital with us from the very beginning of labor until we welcomed our baby. We don't know how we could have made it through the labor pains without the comfort measures she provided and also taught my husband. Even having a second person there to just talk to or  to tag my husband out when he needed to rest was amazing. She never imposed her views on us and was there to talk us through some pretty tough decisions. 

We are so thankful for Jaime and would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!

My husband and I think Jamie is professional, personable, knowledgeable, empathetic and intuitive. She's also an all around badass! Jaime constantly reminded me that I had a choice — a say in how I envisioned my labor and delivery. With Jaime's help, I took my time when making decisions, and I advocated for myself. Jaime brought a calming and relaxing energy to my labor. She helped me with my exercises and encouraged me to rest when needed. Because I was in good hands, my husband was also able to rest. Jaime also brought levity to my labor and delivery by distracting me from the pain. She held my hand through it all, providing me solid support. I really felt like she was on my side, always. I was lucky to have Jaime at my daughter's birth. Thank you, Jaime! You were amazing!

Jaime is one of a kind! I keep trying to think of the best way to describe her worth and words can not describe her passion and dedication to her clients. Jaime goes beyond her duties as a doula and really makes you feel supportive in any decisions you make through your pregnancy and labor. She really was and has been there for me throughout a very special moment in my life. 

I'm a first time mom. My husband and I had never spoke about having a doula but once I met with Jaime I knew it would be a great decision to have her as a second support person during my first labor. During my pregnancy, Jaime was always available to talk and advocated for my needs and wants- and this continued into my postpartum as well! She really was there every step of the way. And bonus point was when Jaime taught my husband some soft toughs and supportive tips for during labor! She really is amazing! 

So if you're looking or playing with the thoughts of having a doula, then all you need to know is that having Jaime as your doula would be a priceless act.

Jaime was helpful from the get-go. She shared a bunch of helpful resources that guided me through things like questions I should ask my provider, creating a birth vision, and what to expect postpartum. She also gave us a solid recommendation for a birth class which both me and my partner loved (even virtually!). When we found out we needed to proceed with an emergency c-section, Jaime was with us each step of the way. Within the day, we had a list of questions to ask my doctor before the surgery and a plan for the day of. She waited for us while I was in recovery and sat with me while my partner tended to our baby who had a short stint in the NICU. Her precense kept me calm in an incredibly stressful situation. Once we were home, she helped us get situated like light grocery shopping, helped us sterilize our bottles & pump parts, and assisted me with getting the baby into a sling/carrier. Jaime's knowledge got us through a time when we felt we knew nothing and her calm, focused demeanor was reassuring that we were in good hands. TLDR; work with Jaime. She's the advocate you need!

Jaime was amazing from the day we met her onwards. She is easy to talk to and asks great questions to get to know what is important to her clients. I really felt like she sought to understand what we wanted out of our experience and she gave us support before during and after to help make that happen. In our case, we ended up having a really long induction that ended up in a c-section, which was not what we wanted to happen but Jaime was there supporting us through it all - even when it was running into a 3 day event! Her presence in the hospital was so reassuring - she knew to give me a heads up at different stages about what was coming next and sure enough the medical staff did exactly what she predicted. We had to make some hard decisions in the moment, including eventually going with an epidural and ultimately the c-section. With each decision I had to make, Jaime helped me understand my rights and what my options were. For example, I wanted to wait as long as I could with the epidural even though the nurses kept pushing it, and Jaime always let me know that it was ok if I wanted to wait. It's so reassuring to have someone there with an objective and knowledgeable perspective who is on your side - especially in the hospital. Jaime also was completely non-judgemental - when I made the decision to move forward with the epidural for example, she was still there supporting me and helping me to continue to deal with how the labor was progressing. Ultimately, Jaime was extremely punctual and responsive - through texts if I had questions as well as when I finally called her to come to the hospital because I needed support through the increasingly painful contractions - she was there right away. Even with a labor that ended up being induced, medicated, and ended in a c-section, Jaime was extremely helpful, supportive and kind and we were so glad she was there with us through it all.

My experience in pregnancy, labor and delivery with Jaime was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I did tremendous research and I was committed to having an unmedicated birth from the beginning of my pregnancy. Jaime was there for me every step of the way. When I unexpectedly decided to switch providers in my third trimester, Jaime supported me and supplied me with a list of recommended doctors. Jaime always encouraged us in our preparations and research as we neared the end of my pregnancy journey. She was extremely responsive, helpful, answered all of our questions at any time! When it came time for my labor, she physically and emotionally supported me throughout contractions, encouraged me when things felt hard, and was a main factor in my success at having a fast, intense and magical unmedicated delivery. I can't thank her enough - any person in a pregnancy journey would be lucky to have Jaime at their side!
